Obituary for Rev. Richard W. Ingle
REV. RICHARD W. INGLE, 93, of Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown, IL, formerly of West Bend, WI, died Saturday, September 10, 2016, at the Center. Richard was born May 14, 1923, in Baxter, IA, to George and Alma (Peterson) Ingle. He received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA and a bachelor of divinity degree from Hartford Theological Seminary in Hartford, CT. Richard married Betty J. Watson on January 25, 1946, in Emmetsburg, IA. He served as a pastor for 39 years in the United Church of Christ in various communities including McCook, NE; Quincy, IL; Westchester, IL; Neenah, WI; and Medina, OH. Richard enjoyed fishing, reading, traveling, and was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan. A memorial to The Salvation Army has been established. Survivors include his wife, Betty; two daughters, Diane (Darrell) Millsap of Prophetstown, IL and Leslie (Paul) Arazny of Burnsville, MN; four grandchildren, Daria (Mike) Smith, Lisa (Jay) Parks, Meredith (Scott) Hueckman, and John Arazny; eight great-grandchildren, Owen, Elliot, Natalie, Erica, Hallie, Audrey, Hugh, and Hudson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dr. Newell Ingle.
