Obituary for Rick F. Charneski
RICK F. CHARNESKI, 64, of Clinton, IA, died Monday, March 23, 2020, at his home.

There will be a private family gathering. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A memorial has been established.

Rick was born May 27, 1955, in Savanna, IL, to Edward G. and Esther M. (Pugh) Charneski, Sr. He was educated in the Fulton grade schools and attended Savanna High School. He then attended Clinton Community College in Clinton, IA, and Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, IL. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. He married Jeannine Preston in 1975 in Mt. Carroll, IL. He later married Tracey Stallings on May 24, 1986, in Fulton, IL. Rick was employed by the Dixon Correctional Facility in Dixon, IL. He also was employed by the Canadian Pacific Railroad. He was an apprentice plumber at A.Y. McDonald in Clinton. Rick was a lifetime member of the Clinton AmVets and a member of the Shaw-Leavens VFW Post #2223. Rick was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed racing cars at the Cordova Drag Strip. He loved music and was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially gardening, feeding the birds, and yardwork. His greatest joy in life was spending time with family.

Survivors include three daughters, Anna Robertson of Savanna, IL; Amee Nelson of Clinton, IA; and Cassandra (Troy) Webb of Hillsdale, IL; three sons, Micheal Feldpausch of Davenport, IA; Benjamin Charneski of Sterling, IL; and Brandon (Satin) Charneski of Rock Falls, IL; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Paulline of Fulton, IL, and Kathy (Steven) Bearsley of Albany, IL; one brother, Edward (Irene) Charneski Jr. of Fulton, IL; many niece and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Brycen; three sisters, Lorraine M. Bennett, Myrna V. Welch, and Sheryl A. Burns; one son-in-law, Robert Robertson Sr.; and one nephew, Craig Charneski.
