Obituary for Ricky Joe Wirth
RICKY JOE WIRTH, 65, formerly of Davenport, IA, died Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Bettendorf Health Care.
There will be no funeral service or visitation. Cremation Rites have been accorded. The Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown, IL is in charge of the arrangements. Interment will be at Fenton Cemetery in Fenton, IL. The family has established a memorial for Ricky’s grandchildren.
Ricky was born September 23, 1956, in Morrison, IL, to Ronald J. and “Lory” A. (Bollman) Wirth. He attended Fenton Grade Schools and was a 1974 graduate of Erie High School. He was a confirmed member of First Lutheran Church in Prophetstown. Ricky enjoyed watching sports. When he was younger, he liked bowling, playing softball and enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by two sons, Chris (Kim) Wirth of Bettendorf, IA and Justin (Beth) Wirth of Dixon, IL; three grandchildren, Nathan Wirth and Jaedyn and Jordan Wirth; one sister, Vicki (Russ) Ottens of Lyndon, IL; one aunt, Rosemary (John) Doubler; two uncles, Ray Wirth and Neil (Julie) Wehrspann; two nephews, Chad (Ashley) Ottens and Troy (Linda Mitchell) Ottens; one great nephew, Alex Ottens; many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; many aunts and uncles.
