Obituary for Steven L. Lange
STEVEN L. LANGE, 57, of Fulton, IL, passed away in his parents home, Lendell and Patricia Lange, of Morrison, IL, on June 13, 2012, after a long-term illness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Morrison Athletic Boosters or the Morrison First Baptist Church. Graveside service for family and friends will be at the Grove Hill Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012. Pastor Dick Adams of the First Baptist Church will be officiating, followed with a light lunch at the Morrison First Baptist Church.Steven was born December 29, 1954. He was educated in the rural Prairie Center/Union Grove schools and attended Morrison High School, graduating in 1973. He graduated from Sauk Valley College with honor, and attended Northern Illinois University.Steven worked with Burns Security at the Nuclear Plant in Cordova, IL for many years; a van driver for R.C. Smith Transportation in Morrison, and for the past five years he worked in maintenance at the Clinton Wal-Mart Store. Family ties based on mutual love and respect meant much to Steven. The family traveled together throughout the United States. He enjoyed the family get-togethers celebrating special occasions with relatives and the family dinners at the farm. Steven had a passion for reading, building an extensive library. He enjoyed movies, music and was always ready to play cards. Steven was a life time member of the Morrison First Baptist Church.He is survived by his parents, Lendell and Patricia (Steadman) Lange, his sister, Audrey Lange of Elgin, IL; nephew Samuel Lange of Elgin, IL; a special aunt, M. Jo Steadman of Holiday Island, NC; and cousins.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, LeRoy and Gladys White Lange; his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Helene Becker Steadman.
