Obituary for Sue Ann Pessman
SUE ANN PESSMAN, 71, of Des Moines, IA, died Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines.
Per Sue Ann’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded; there will be no funeral service or visitation. Interment will be in the Garden Plain Cemetery. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Sue Ann was born October 24, 1946, in Clinton, IA to Wesley J. and Alberta K. (Wierenga) Pessman. She was educated in the Garden Plain Grade School in Garden Plain Township, IL, and graduated from Our Lady of Angels High School in Clinton, IA. She then graduated from the Rockford School of Nursing in Rockford, IL. Sue Ann was a veteran of the U.S. Army as a nurse in the WAC’s. She was employed as registered nurse in the Clinton hospitals and then at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines. Sue Ann was an avid horse lover, and enjoyed riding her motorcycle.
Survivors include one sister, Sally Pessman of Kalona, IA; two brothers, Gregg (Ellen) Pessman and Jeff (Jacklynn) Pessman, both of Fulton, IL; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
