Obituary for Susan J. Patten
SUSAN JANE PATTEN, 80, of Morrison, IL, died Thursday, February 18, 2016 at C.G.H. Medical Center in Sterling, IL.Susan was born September 19, 1935, in Sterling, IL, to Karl and Ethel (Cassens) Howe. She married Robert L. Patten on June 17, 1956 in Sterling. He died on February 6, 2007. Sue had worked at the Ben Franklin Store for many years. She enjoyed antiquing and collecting, traveling, cooking and tirelessly looking for good deals for the next Christmas. She was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church. Sue was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed dearly.Survivors include one daughter, Krista (Steve) Wanzong of Madison, WI; four sons, James (Deby) Patten of Belleville, IL, Thomas (Susannah) Patten of Morrison, IL, Steven (Jaclyn) Patten of Rock Falls, IL, Michael (Deane) Patten of Morrison, IL; seven grandchildren, Jamae Nichols, Charles Patten, Samantha (Kevin) Schmitt, Christopher Nye, Kyle Patten, Alyssa Patten, Grace Wanzong; four great-grandchildren, Naelyn and Eli Nichols, Owen and Amelia Schmitt.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert.
