Obituary for Victor H. Keller
VICTOR H. KELLER, 92, of 500 S. Base Street, Morrison, IL, died Monday, May 6, 2013, at Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison, IL. Vic was born December 14, 1920 in Fulton, IL, to Christian and Mary (Kammeran) Keller. He was educated in the Frog Pond Grade School of rural Whiteside County, IL. He married Arlene R. Geerts on September 8, 1944, in Morrison, IL. Vic was first engaged in farming in the Ustick Township area. He then was employed by the Carnation Milk Factory in Morrison, Herman Nelson Manufacturing in Morrison, and Agrico in Fulton. Most recently, he worked for General Electric in Morrison, until retiring in 1986. Vic was a member of Spring Valley Reformed Church in rural Fulton and the Whiteside County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed reading and attending his grandchildren"s sporting events. Survivors include his wife, Arlene; one son, Ritchie Keller of Morrison, IL; one daughter-in-law, Sandra Keller of Fulton, IL; five grandchildren, Chad (Jennifer) Keller, Kimberly Keller, Travis Keller, Austin Keller, and Dylan Keller; one step great-grandchild, Cassie; and one sister, Mary Ann Strouss of Camanche, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Gary Keller and in infancy, James Keller; three sisters, Irene Mumm, Rose Kuehl, and Henrietta Hoobler; four brothers, Paul, Alvin, Christie and George Keller.
