Obituary for William F. Price
WILLIAM "BILL" F. PRICE, 75, of 503 W. Morris Street, Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL. Bill was born October 25, 1935 in Detroit, MI to Frank B. and Ann Louise (Nixon) Price. He was educated in the Detroit grade schools and graduated from Western High School in Detroit, MI. He then attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. Bill married Karen C. Maring on February 23, 1980 in Milan, IL. He owned and operated Arbor Craft Corp. in Livonia, MI, then was a design engineer for Penda Corporation in Portage, WI until his retirement in 2000. Bill designed returnable, stackable trays and pallets for the automotive industry " GM, Chrysler, Ford, and Toyota. He was an inventor and designed one of the first truck bed liners in the United States as one of his inventions. He also designed a robotic lift and stack device for use in the automotive industry. Bill was a member of the Ebenezer Reformed Church, where he was on consistory and also served on the executive committee for 5 years. He was a former member of the Elks Organization in Detroit, MI. Survivors include his wife, Karen; one son, Bill (Susann) Price of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two daughters, Christa (Darin) Crowder of Highland, IL and Carrie Leftwich of Davenport, IA; seven grandchildren, Ashley and Christian Price; Carrigan, Caleb, and Chase Crowder; Skyler Davison and Hunter Stewart. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Kelly Price.
