Obituary for Leah "Boots" Hayen
LEAH “BOOTS” HAYEN, 82, of Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison, IL; formerly of Fulton, IL, died Friday, November 13, 2020, at Pleasant View.

A private family funeral service will be held at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with Ken Renkes officiating. There will be no visitation. A public graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM, Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. A memorial has been established by the family.

Leah was born April 6, 1938 in Galena, IL, to Clair and Francis (Leitzinger) Brown. She was educated in the Rock Falls, IL, schools and graduated from Rock Falls High School. On June 14, 1957, she married David L. Hayen in Rock Falls. He died March 15, 2014. Leah worked at General Electric Co. in Morrison. She loved gardening, nature and spending time with her family.

Survivors include five grandchildren, Eric (Brittany Spencer) Hayen of Fulton, Trevor Underwood of Clinton, IA, Brett (Anya) Cartee of Golden, CO, Weston Jones of Clinton, IA and Sarah Mahoney of Iowa City, IA; many great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David; one daughter, Wendy L. Mahoney; two sons, Steven Hayen and Gregory Hayen; one sister, Judy Nailor.
