Obituary for Alan R. Naftzger
ALAN R. NAFTZGER, 41, of San Francisco, CA, formerly of Erie, IL, died Sunday, March 16, 2014, at USCF Medical Center in San Francisco, CA. Alan was born February 15, 1973, in Morrison, IL, to W. Rolland and Camilla A. (Green) Naftzger. He was educated in the Fenton, IL, Grade School and was a 1991 graduate of Erie High School. He received a Bachelor"s Degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. Alan was employed by The Great Frame Up, FTD Floral, and Direct TV all in Chicago, IL. Most recently, he was employed by Ancestry.COM in Provo, UT, and San Francisco, CA, as Director of Retention Marketing. Alan was a member of St. Patrick"s Catholic Church in Albany, IL. He enjoyed hiking and spending time with his dogs, Chewie and Kona. Survivors include his fianc"e, Shana Strong; his mother, Camilla Naftzger of Erie, IL; two sisters, Lisa (Joe Kang) Naftzger of Wilmette, IL and Christine (Bill) Berge of Port Byron, IL; three brothers, Kevin Naftzger of Albany, IL; Steve (Susan) Naftzger of Erie, IL; and Keith (Tina) Naftzger of Albany, IL; eight nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Rolland.
