Obituary for Carole D. Damhoff
CAROLE D. DAMHOFF, 88, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, IL, died Monday, March 25, 2013, at Harbor Crest. Carole was born January 11, 1925, in Luana, IA, to George and Clara (Nelson) Ziegler. She was educated in the Fulton High School in Fulton, IL. She married James A. Damhoff on March 17, 1943, in Fulton, IL. He died March 10, 1997. Carole was employed as an executive secretary by Drives, Inc. in Fulton for 28 years. She was a member of Second Reformed Church in Fulton and served as a nursery volunteer for the church"s Coffee Break Ministry. She was also a member of the Fulton American Legion Auxiliary and Fulton Country Club. Survivors include one son, James (Mary) Damhoff, Jr. of Albany, IL; three grandchildren, Tanya Damhoff of Chicago, IL, Tara Damhoff of Denver, CO, and Torrie (Dr. Chad) Zambon of Menomonee Falls, WI; two great-grandchildren, Kendall and Charlie Zambon; one sister, Jeri (Bob) Klavenga of Fulton, IL; two brothers, George Ziegler of Fulton, IL and Robert (Carolyn) Ziegler of Albany, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jim.
