Obituary for Elsie G. Holesinger
ELSIE GEORGIA HOLESINGER, 95, of Clinton, IA, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Bickford of Clinton.
There will be a private family funeral service, with interment at the Fulton Township Cemetery. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A memorial has been established by the family.
Elsie was born December 28, 1924, in Clinton, IA, to Fred and Martha (Wassenaar) Blink. She was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School. On March 17, 1945 she married Floyd N. Holesinger in Rock Island, IL. He died April 3, 1998. Elsie, along with her husband Floyd, founded, owned and operated the Quality Ready Mix in Fulton. She was a member of Second Reformed Church in Fulton, where she participated in Willing Workers. She also enjoyed attending Coffee Break Bible Study. Elsie was a member of the Harbor Crest Auxiliary and the Women’s Service Club. She enjoyed watching the birds at their bird feeders and she also enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy (Al) Schuitema of Fulton; two sons, Randy (Judy) Holesinger of Fulton and Bob (Cindy) Holesinger of Clinton; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; one son, James Richard Holesinger; four brothers, William Blink Sr., Ike Blink, Onno Blink, and Paul Blink.
