Obituary for Emily A. Rumfelt
EMILY A. RUMFELT, 86, of Fulton, IL, died Saturday, April 27, 2019, at her home.
Her funeral service will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with visitation from 4:00 PM until the time of the service. Pastor Wayne Wiersema, pastor of Gateway Faith Fellowship in Fulton, will officiate. Cremation rites will take place following the funeral service. A private family committal service will take place at Fulton Township Cemetery. Memorials have been established to Gateway Faith Fellowship, Shriners Hospitals for Children, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Emily was born September 6, 1932, in Lacon, IL. She was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools and attended Fulton High School. Emily was a homemaker and was a member of Gateway Faith Fellowship. She enjoyed reading, playing games, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include five daughters, Kathleen Heaps of Eldridge, IA; Brenda (Bob) Sykes of Sunrise Beach, TX; Mrs. Sherrie Borgman of Fulton, IL; Debra (Jim) Morris of Fulton, IL; and Emilie (Randy) Price of Port Byron, IL; one son, James Rumfelt of Fulton, IL; one stepdaughter, Beverly (Tom) Dirkes of Mt. Juliet, TN; twenty-two grandchildren; fifty-one great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Charlotte (Richard) Bach of Fulton, IL.
She was preceded in death by her father; her mother, Nellie Coyne-Smith; her husband, James D. Rumfelt; one brother, Duane Coyne; and one-son-in-law, Raymond Borgman.
