Obituary for Kevin Lee VanZuiden
DATELINE: FULTON, ILKEVIN LEE VAN ZUIDEN, 59, of Fulton, IL, died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Stephan, Pastor of Second Reformed Church, Fulton, IL, officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 7th at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded. Interment will be at the Fulton Township Cemetery in Fulton.Kevin was born July 28, 1957, in Clinton, IA, to Arthur and Vivian (Hoogheem) VanZuiden. He was educated in the DeWitt, IA grade schools and was a graduate of DeWitt High School in DeWitt, IA. He married Nancy L. Tompkins on May 12, 1984 in Clinton, IA. Kevin was employed with ADM in Clinton for 37 years where he was a frontline supervisor in the refinery. He was a member of Second Reformed Church in Fulton. Kevin loved to travel; he and his wife, Nancy, enjoyed taking long motorcycle rides. He was an avid Mustang lover. Kevin was meticulous and had an eye for detail. He was most proud of his son and his grandson.Survivors include his wife, Nancy; one son, Kane (Alicia) VanZuiden of Rockton, IL; one grandson, August VanZuiden; his mother and father, Arthur and Vivian VanZuiden of Camanche, IA; one sister, Kim (Robert) Wilson of Camanche, IA; two brothers, Keith VanZuiden and Kelly (Tammy) VanZuiden, both of Clinton, IA; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Crystal Tompkins of Clinton, IA; several brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents; two brothers-in-law; his father-in-law, Robert Tompkins.
