Obituary for Lucille Chapin
LUCILLE CHAPIN, 105, of Resthave Home in Morrison, IL, died Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Resthave.
A graveside service will be held at a later date. The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A memorial to Resthave Home in Morrison has been established.
Lucille was born July 2, 1914 in Joliet, IL, to Victor M. and Helen (Plumley) Hubbard. She was educated in the Fulton, IL grade schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School. On September 16, 1934 she married Clare V. Chapin in Valparaiso, IN. He died on August 26, 2006. Lucille was a homemaker and was a self-employed piano and organ teacher in Morrison for many years. She was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church. She had a love for cats and dogs.
Survivors include one son, Jere (Nancy) Chapin of Ft. Myers, FL; six grandchildren, Brad (Mary) Chapin, Stacy Chapin, Jennifer (Ti) Aither, Elizabeth (Bob) Gordon, Jane (Randy) Schmiedel and Mary Louise (Luke) Weber; twelve great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Chapin of Oshkosh, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clare; two sons, Gilbert Allen Chapin and David Kent Chapin in infancy; one brother, Donald Appel.
