Obituary for Victor Loren Roggendorf
VICTOR LOREN ROGGENDORF, 87, of Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna, IL, formerly of Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at the nursing home.Victor was born December 13, 1929, in Clinton, IA, to Julius Victor and Velma F. (St. Ores) Roggendorf. He had served in the U.S. Army. Victor married Marilyn J. Betts on October 9, 1971 in Cordova, IL. She died January 24, 2014. Victor worked at Nelsons Electric in Morrison, Drives Inc. in Fulton and he was also a farmer. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Morrison.Survivors include one son, Todd (Rebecca Burmeister) Betts of Morrison, IL; one stepson, Wayne Betts of Rock Falls, IL; and one granddog, Bud.He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; two sisters, Virginia Weisenberger and Ruby Harridge; one brother, Lawrence Roggendorf; and one sister-in-law, Rose Filloon; and one brother-in-law, Roger Filloon.
